Yup. Here is the quick story:

To help our auction clients compete against the major auction sites, we explored creating a "real-time" ad network that enabled auction sites to advertise currently available items with zero effort. But we had to make it easy for our clients to design their own appealing ad templates. So we looked around to see if there was an ad designer we could buy, but none existed.

We then took another look at the display ad market and realized there are no good tools for creating sophisticated, rich media ads. The only option is to pay a graphic artist, but that gets expensive and makes it difficult to experiment with different taglines, product images, price points, etc. So we built a best-of-breed ad designer that makes it as easy to experiment with display ads as it is with bland text ads!

So there you have the story of how Emaze transformed itself from a successful auction software developer to the most e-mazing, easy-to-use system for generating rich-media ads for normal people. Ain't life strange?
