an unfair fight, so we have given excel a little chance, by keeping the planner simple. in real life, this is not likely to be the case. you will want multiple resources, clients, jobs/orders, products, quantities, dates, values, time spent, staff, machines, plant, etc. in other words, excel simply can't manage all of this and be useable to anyone but the person who designed the spreadsheet and even then, do they have the time to update it and what about when they are away.
